Julie Scott Emmons is a lifelong advocate for the dignity and value of every human life. Her career spans the fields of Education, Government, Political Leadership, and Public Service. Julie earned a B.A. in History with teacher licensure from Bryan College and later completed a M.Ed. in Special Education/Learning Disabilities from Elon University. Julie was inspired by her high school teachers to become involved in the political process and she has extensive experience in grassroots organization, party leadership, public speaking, and policy. She also advises candidates at the local, state, and federal levels. After 17 years in Education, Julie served as Campaign Manager and later District Director/Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Mark Walker, NC-06. Her volunteer work includes serving on the Locke Foundation Board of Directors and as the Vice Chairman of the Alamance Community College Board of Trustees. Julie is now the South Regional Director of Government Affairs for Human Coalition, which is one of the largest pro-woman, pro-life organizations in the nation. Julie lives in North Carolina with her husband, Karl, their son, Jacob, and a mostly well-behaved Australian Labradoodle named Gus.
