Dr. Lin is a former U.S Army officer and microbiologist, currently working as a senior analyst and commentator on China affairs and public health topics for Epoch Media Group (Epoch times & NTD TV). Dr. Lin has the MA degree on International Relations from Maxwell School Syracuse University and Ph.D. on microbiology and immunology from University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Lin was former laboratory director for the viral diseases branch at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and had many years of experience in virology, sequencing, infectious diseases global surveillance and vaccine development. Dr. Lin is a member of the Committee of Present Danger: China. Dr. Lin is frequently interviewed by VOA, RFA and NTD. Dr. Lin was also a co-founder of Sound of Hope Radio Network, which is the only independent radio network that broadcast into China via shortwaves. Dr. Lin is a member of the China Coalition for Religious Freedom. He is also an advisor to non-profit organizations like Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting, Save the Persecuted Christians, World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong. He is also a survivor of Tiananmen Square Massacre.
